Swimming Have you ever had that feeling where you are so excited about doing something but also nervous at the same time? What about when you are looking forward to an event and when it happens you realize that you don’t want to do it? That s how I felt on the day of my first swim lesson. I was resting on the soft fluffy brown couch that had worn out over the past few years, watching TV. our living room was small but cozy with a huge TV right in the front of it. There was a couch leaning against the wall right in front of the giant glass table. Off to the right of the living room, there was a fireplace that was turned on at the moment. Outside, the sun slowly started to set and nightfall began to appear. On the day of my first swim lesson, I was so excited, I felt like fireworks were going on inside of me. I felt the vibration of the car push me around, as I tried to imagine what the clinic was going to be like. When my dad pulled up in the parking lot and stopped the car, I bounced out and skipped into the building. As I was running, I could hear the sound of my sandals hit my feet, and then hit the ground again. The wind was flying past my face at full speed. And just when I reached for the door handle and opened the door, my heart froze. My first sight was the pool. It had shimmery blue water that reflected light from the open places in the ceiling. There were about 50 people all cramped in the pool at once. I could barely hear the sound of my own breath as I covered my mouth in shock. The teachers were screaming advice to the kids who were under water. Their voice boomed throughout the building. I looked down and saw the wet and damp floor beneath me. And to this day, I still can not understand why the floor by the door of my swim clinic was always wet. On my right were little built in showers. And here is the shocking part, the showers had no doors, they were just showers that stood out in front of the whole pool.
